The parent company for Duck Tape is giving Olivia Demberg, a sophomore at Ridgeview Classical Schools and avid Duck Tape crafter, seed money and a supply of Duck Tape to help with a fundraising project.
She has already raised $1,500 for Heifer International, a nonprofit ded- icated to ending world poverty and hunger via sustainable livestock and agriculture programs.
Demberg’s “Duck Tape Holds The World Together” project now will en- list the help of kids so they can raise more for various charities.Theorizing that kids like to make crafts, hang out with friends and raise money for charity, she came up with an idea that she likens to an advanced version of a lemonade stand.
She pitched her project to Shur- Tech Industries CEO John Kahl at the company’s Avon, Ohio, world head- quarters, and the company agreed to – help.
If you have a group that would like to help with this charitable activity, please contact Olivia at DuckTape- e Holds WorldTogether@gmail.com.
